FOX Profiling Template – Professional Blade Profiling Template for Hockey Skates

A skate blade profile is the contour that extends from the toe of the skate to the heel. Every skate blade has its own profile, whether the skates are brand new or well-used, figure skates or hockey skates, recreational or professional. The blade profile determines the length of the blade section that contacts the ice while skating. This contact area directly affects your balance, stability, glide, and the amount of friction between the blade and the ice. Proper blade profiling minimizes friction and optimizes skating performance by creating the ideal blade contour for your skating style.

The Blade Profiling Template is designed for precision longitudinal profiling (reshaping) of hockey skate blades. Engineered specifically for hockey players, it is fully compatible with Parduc® and Prosharp skate sharpening machines.

Blade profiling allows skaters to customize the performance characteristics of their skate blades to match their individual skating style. A properly profiled blade improves acceleration, balance, edge control, agility, and overall comfort on the ice.

The FOX Series Profiling Templates feature a three-radius profile, delivering an ideal combination of agility, stability, and explosive acceleration. FOX profiles include a natural forward pitch (-13 mm), placing the skater in a slightly forward-leaning stance for quicker starts, better power transfer, and a more aggressive skating position.

There is no single blade profile that suits every player. The ideal profile depends on individual skating technique, playing position, and personal preference. Testing different profiles is the best way to find the perfect setup for maximum on-ice performance.
